Intersystems

Easily persist your Java Objects

The Java world is a thriving "think tank" where the future of computing is created, a place of open-minded exploration. Nevertheless, there are taboos that the Java world seems reluctant to address. Weakly typed languages was one. Object-oriented databases attract a lot of sympathy and precious little support. Everything that would stray too far away from the "canon" of Java and JavaEE is, in reality, often considered with suspicion.

In our session at JavaPolis on December 12 at 3.10 pm in room 6, called:
Java persistence: a Heretic's demonstration
we will demonstrate how Java persistence can be made even easier and much more efficient. We will show a solution that will generate further added value thanks to weakly typed languages and a seamless blend of object-oriented and relational technologies. We will also show that it fits nicely in a Java stack.

If you intend to visit our stand or to attend our session, register on our website and win a Skype phone. More details at:  www.InterSystemsBenelux.com/JavaPolis

De Post / La Poste

JOIN OUR TALENTED JAVA TEAM @ THE POST

The last five years the ICT department of De Post has heavily invested in Java technology as basis for its business applications. These applications cover various domains such as logistics, banking & insurance, finance, etc. And we can be proud of the result: more than 40 J2EE applications have been designed and developed by a dynamic group of experienced developers. All of these were deployed in an automated way on an infrastructure fully based on JBoss. The next few years our major challenge will certainly be the liberalisation of the postal market: a flexible architecture has become indispensable, with reusable services to help speed up the development process.

Want to help us expand our java applications - portfolio? Visit our booth at JavaPolis 2007: some nice surprises await you! Eager to join us? Visit http://www.post.be/jobs or send an email to Liesbeth.Neirings@post.be
