Hi,

We're finalizing (thanks to Bart Strubbe) the DVD registration process, which will be active (after some testing) around next week.

The actual DVDs will be ready for shipment beginning of April (another 2 weeks). The JavaPolis DVD dual-box will be yours for 29 Euro (+ VAT), non-European countries will pay an additional 10 Euro for shipment. The registration wizard will ONLY accept credit card purchases, a PDF invoice will be sent to you automatically through email!

Before we bring the DVD registration online, we'll migrate confluence from Tomcat to Resin (which will give us a better performance and disolve the client disconnection exceptions ). Next month we'll then upgrade to Confluence version 1.4 which elimates the right wiki column, giving us more room to place content.

Cheers,
Stephan

Stephan, no news on this ?

Hi,
I ordered the DVD set on April 19th. I have not yet received the DVDs. Can you let me know how much longer I need to wait? I am located in Detroit (USA).

Thanks
Sandesh

Hello Sandesh,

Your DVD has been shipped with 'regular' mail, so please be patient for a few extra days... it's worth the wait

Hi, I am having quite some difficulty viewing the DVD that was shipped to me. What is the format of the DVD? I have tried to view this on several DVD players, but have not had any success. The only content I am able to view are images.

Thanks,
Rai

Hi Rai,
the DVD is not a DVD-video, it's a DVD-ROM that can be played on any workstation, PC, Mac or Linux with a simple browser and the latest Macromedia ShockWaveFlash plug-in.
DVD-Video did not allow to store 50 hours of content in MPEG-2 on a single DVD.
Kind regards.
Robin
