JavaPolis meets Paypal

Due to some technical problems with our Merchant, we've migrated the JavaPolis DVD purchase process to paypal.com. This relieves me and Bart from the operational hasle of restarting the server every so often etc.
Anybody can now order the JavaPolis DVD dual jewel-box for 39 Euro's (including shipping) anywhere in the world with your paypal account. Ok, if you don't have one you'll have to create it but it's worth the effort
We might even consider reusing this mechanism for the JavaPolis 2005 registration payments and BeJUG membership fees.

It goes almost without saying that the already succesfully received DVD purchases will get processed as normal.

People who do not have a credit-card or paypal account can send an email to info@bejug.org to purchase the DVD through a regular Purchase Order.

When I tried ordering through the previous merchant they made a mistake of depositing an amount of US$60.56. TheY corrected this by taking back the amount of US$61.86 which is more than what they should have taken back. My effort to reach them were in vain. If you know these guys Bart Strubbe and Kristien Leyn please advise them of the courtesy to reply to my email.

You can be sure we'll sort this out, even if it's only $1.30 !!

"You can be sure we'll sort this out"

--> Thanks.

"even if it's only $1.30 !!"

--> I dont appreciate that part of your response. Dude I know the money aint that much but I hope you understand its the 'trust and confidence' you're obligated to maintain when dealing with monetary transactions.

Don't worry, the last part wasn't meant that way

We do take it seriously... In fact, we are working a lot on smoothing things like this out. A lot of the administration is still done manually and because of the incredible growth we had last year, it is getting hard for us, volunteers, to keep up with it. We do not want to hire too many people to help us out either, because this will definitely have a major impact on the price... But since all the volunteers are also programmers, some of us started implementing a solution that will nicely integrate with the wiki and our current backend, so expect this to gradually improve in the near future! (don't forget, the programming is also done after our daytime job)

Maybe a bad translation from Dutch, but what I ment was that even if it was only 0.5 cent we would sort it out!
