Abstract

In today's world, no application is an island, no company is an island. What CEOs want from IT is a tool to support the business needs and business evolutions. Making a single technology choice is very difficult for companies. This session will look at the different options to achieve interoperability in general but also, and more specifically, interoperability between the Microsoft platform and the Java platforms. We will take a balanced look into options such as: Web Services, Message Oriented Middleware, .NET Remoting, Queuing Systems but also direct application bridging solutions. We'll look at all that, not only from an Architectural Perspective but also from a Technology perspective. Come and see how the two worlds that appear to be so different really can nicely integrate to deliver the expected business value.
