English translation of the directions is available at the bottom of this page!

Exit "Merksem" is open again, too. You can use that, and follow direction "Haven (1-999)".

'De Lijn' has a great website with a neat route planner: http://www.delijn.be/reisinfo/

But only in dutch

Ok, it seems train to Antwerpen Central, then bus line 23 to "ANTWERPEN NOORDERLAAN" is the easiest route.

Which airport is the closest to the Metropolis? Also, what are some names of some nearby hotels? Thanks.

Check out the special JavaPolis rated hotels here.
You've the Belgian international Airport Zaventem, however I believe Antwerp also has a smaller airport.

Do you have much more detailed map of Brussels, which outlines the
nearby hotels around the venue?

Hello Peter, The JavaPolis venue called MetroPolis is located in the city of Antwerp NOT Brussels !

You can find 40 other hotels in Antwerp here.

Thanks Stephan

Is there an online map of Antwerp? Google Maps has not come to Antwerp Belgium, yet.

maporama.com, mappy.com, viamichelin.com are good alternatives and do cover continental Europe.

http://stadsplan.antwerpen.be/ seems to have a good and rather detailed map of the city.

It is also only in Dutch, but if street names also are in it handling the map software should be quite intuitive and close to other systems.
