BOF: Enterprise Java Application Performance Project: Top 10 round table

Abstract

In october 2006 I gave a talk about the top 10 performance problems in Enterprise Java

That top 10 was based on the performance tuning and development experiences at my company Xebia, but since then a Wiki was started to make it into a community effort similar to the OWASP top 10

After briefly going over the previously mentioned presentation, a round table discussion will be started to gather more performance tuning experiences and get a more well-rounded top 10, based on the experiences of more people.

Vincent Partington has been working with Java since the earliest beta versions. Not much later he got involved in Java web technology and wrote an open source JSP implementation, GNUJSP. Ever since that moment he has worked on Enterprise Java for a number of employers.

Since 2003 he has been working for Xebia IT Architects in the Netherlands doing software audits, security scans and performance tuning assignments.
