Francois Orsini will give an overview of the main architectural components of Java DB and how these influence the performance. Java DB is Sun's supported distribution of the open source Apache Derby 100% Java technology database. The presentation will also include a section giving some examples of how Derby compares to other Open-Source databases (MySQL and PostgreSQL) with regards to performance.
