The JavaPolis RAD Race is the shortened, "Java only" version of the (full blown) Original RAD Race.
It is a 'real' JAVA competition, meaning that:
- A realistic and detailed business case is to be realized
- By teams of 2 developers in 12 hours (from 9 a.m. til 9 p.m.)
- In verifiable conditions of time and place and without any (external) help
- There are no limitations on the software and hardware that can be used
Show what YOU can do with Java and submit your team on our wiki!
This year we also have a Call For Papers for the RAD Race.
If interested, send us an email
with the following information:
- Team name
- Developer names (max. 2)
- Development Tools which will be used
- Frameworks and/or API's that will be used
When?
The actual RAD Race takes place on Tuesday December 12th from 9 am till 9 pm. During that day you don't have internet access so make sure you bring enough tools, books, hard-disk, network hub etc.
The next day, Wednesday, you'll have to present your application to the RAD Race jury.
The RAD Race winners will get announced during the keynote of December 14th !!
