Abstract

The Eclipse JDT provides a rich base set of capabilities for Java development, but developers can be left to fend for themselves in some complex tasks such as application profiling and developing and testing JEE applications. The new JGear plug-ins for Eclipse provide advanced yet easy to use capabilities across a number of key areas. These include profiling and performance tuning Java applications, graphical designers for creating EJBs and Web Services, UML modelling and team collaboration. This session will demonstrate how JGear plug-ins can move the Eclipse developer experience to a higher level, and dramatically improve productivity, improve ease of use and improve application quality and performance.
